The children created their own hammocks using plastic sheets, while others worked on creating a wall of flowers using the rhododendrons in the woods. It was amazing how much they looked like giant peas in a blue pod.

Unbelievable, Children Making Mud.
Children had to make there own mud in the woods to paint and create with. Some even tried to add colour with flowers and leaves before painting on the screen.

A couple of children even made a portrait of Mr Ellison.
The Wild Things
The Y1/2 children were making the “wild things”, from the book “Where The Wild Things Are”. Hopefully the reception children will be surprised when they are next in the woods.

Floating Homes For Leprechauns
The children tried to re-create floating homes on used by some Viking settlers when they arrived in Ireland, only this time they were built for the little people.

Snipers in The Forest
As part of their WW1 topic Y5/6 created their own sniper nests in the forest. Can you spot them?

Children Enjoy The New Campsite In The Forest
There was a group of wooden tents in the woods this week, children from different groups all enjoyed ‘cooking their lunch’, being vikings or just relaxing and socialising in the campsite.

Building a statue with the tallest plinth, proved tricky for some in Y3/4
As part of their Romans topic Y3/4 were building statues this week and trying to give them the tallest plinth. We did have one for Ceaser but we also had one for a squirrel!

Brew Time.
Y5/6 has the challenge of using a Kelly Kettle to make their own hot drink. Most of the groups managed to light the fire and keep it going and enjoyed a nice hot drink.

Fairy Village Destroyed
Y1/2 spend an afternoon rebuilding fairy homes for guests in the woods. Fantastic imagination and cooperation by everyone.

Working together to create their own version of a Roman Ballista.
We had lots of different designs with fantastic teamwork and original thought.
